The Pulse Survey is designed to gather feedback and ratings from users. It helps organizations monitor the progress and performance of learners and allows managers to assess their teams. Pulse surveys can be targeted to specific journey cycles or used independently. It is also a tool for understanding the pulse and sentiment of different attributes, helping organizations stay informed about how people feel, identify areas of concern, and make data-driven improvements.
Pulse surveys are a simple yet powerful way to gather insights that help organizations support their people better. They are primarily used to capture sentiment, perceptions, and self-assessments in a way that is quick, targeted, and often anonymous.
¶ 1. To understand where users rate themselves and how managers perceive them
- Pulse surveys help compare self-assessments with managerial assessments to identify gaps or alignments.
- Example: Finding out how much people rate themselves on time management before they begin a training module.
¶ 2. To understand sentiment about a specific topic, change, or value
- They help track reactions and opinions about organizational events, policies, or cultural shifts.
- Example: Measuring how employees feel about a recent organizational restructure or new company initiative.
¶ 3. To understand how people are feeling on the ground
- Surveys can highlight stress points, workload concerns, or barriers to communication.
- Example: Are people feeling overloaded by work? Are they able to express their ideas freely without fear of judgment?
- Pulse surveys are often anonymous, encouraging open and unbiased feedback.
- They are designed to uncover feelings, challenges, and perceptions that help leadership make informed, empathetic decisions.
- Automatically captures start and end dates from the journey.
- Expiry duration is auto-filled based on the journey’s timeline.
- Ensures alignment with learning schedules and key milestones.
- Start and end dates must be added manually.
- Survey will trigger repeatedly based on the selected frequency until the end date.
- Provides flexibility to collect feedback independently of any predefined learning path.
The survey can be targeted to:
- Learners only – collects feedback or self-assessment from learners.
- Managers only – allows managers to assess their teams without feedback from learners.
- Both learners and managers – gathers feedback from learners and allows managers to rate each user’s progress.
¶ Feedback and Ratings Flow
- When the survey is live, learners’ ratings are sent to their managers.
- Managers can view and rate each user individually when the Both learners and managers option is selected.
Important: Once the survey is published, changes to the start date, end date, or expiry duration cannot be modified. Make sure all details are reviewed before publishing the survey.
