The approach focuses on fostering sustained participation, team collaboration, and consistency through a structured points system, team dynamics, and streak incentives.
- Purpose: Build foundational knowledge through articles, videos, quizzes, etc.
- Duration: 1–2 weeks (or custom length).
- Points System:
- Mandatory Items: Completing each earns 10 points (10 mandatory items = max 100 points).
- Optional Items: No points awarded for additional learning items to encourage focus on essentials.
- Purpose: Apply learning to real-world scenarios, fostering habit formation.
- Duration: Typically 21 working days (~4 weeks), customizable.
- Points System:
- Item Completion: Each completed item earns 10 points, regardless of timing.
- Streak Points: Reward consistency with compounding points for actions on unique days.
- Team Bonus: Encourage collaboration and mutual accountability.
- Learning Phase: 10 points per mandatory item.
- Action Phase: 10 points per actionable item, regardless of completion timing.
- Exclusions: Optional items in the learning phase do not contribute to points.
- Learning Phase:
- Team earns 25 points per member if all members complete mandatory items on time.
- Partial team completion = No team bonus (motivates peer nudging).
- Action Phase:
- Team earns 7 points/day if all members complete one habit daily.
- Partial team consistency = No team bonus.
- Purpose: Reward consistent, daily application of habits.
- Mechanism:
- Points compound for each unique day of habit application (5, 10, 15…105/day).
- Missing a day does not reset the streak, but habits applied on the same day do not count for streak points.
- Unique Days Rule: Allows weekend make-up (applying one habit on Sat/Sun) without penalty.
- Impact: Drives long-term engagement with a significant 21-day streak difference:
- Consistent User: 1155 streak points (max).
- Last-Minute User: 5 streak points.
